Humpday Hottie~

4:30 am · category: Men, Midweek Hottie

Can you believe it is here again so soon? Family was here over the weekend and time just seemed to fly. Never enough of it when you want or need it. Ah well… time to go with the man who entertains me on a daily basis thanks to re-runs. ;)  Though this is not the way we typically see DiNozzo, I still think he is hottie material. Ladies?

Bring It On~

6:08 pm · category: Random Rambling

We are nearing my favorite time of year. Which is what you ask? Spring/Summer. I can’t choose between them because that would be like asking me to pick one kid over the other. So not happening. Besides, this is Vegas and sping does blend so seamlessly into summer that it is difficult to tell when one ends and the next begins. The true heart of the matter is that I have many reasons for loving spring/summer. My tops being these:

1. Baseball season is about to kick off….Go Red Sox! Yes, in a family full of football fans, I am the odd man out. It’s all good though.

2. Weather is warming up which means barbeque season is ready to hit full swing.

3. Lazy days by the pool (because honestly, in Vegas heat you don’t really want to be too far from a pool and margarita).

4. No more freezing our arses off.

5. Did I mention margaritas? Oh yes. Please accept my apologies for the short term memory loss. Beer’s good too. I will take a Blue Moon served in a nice frosty Pilsner with a slice of orange please. Preferably brought to me by a shirtless and well tanned piece of eye candy.

Yes you’ll do Mr. Inspiration for Levi hottie. You may bring me my beer now. Drool… oh sorry I lost my train of thought. Where was I? Right. Spring/Summer. Got it. As with all good things there are some down sides. Hundred and fifteen degree heat people? And don’t give me that “It’s a dry heat” bullshit. Hot is hot any way you slice it. Other downside? It does eventually come to an end. :(   Such is the way of things. Time for me to get back to work. Daydreaming of Paul Walker, Blue Moon and warm weather has almost lured me away from the real task at hand. ‘Wolf-fairy’ must be finished. (Doesn’t that name just kill you? I have yet to cement a title and my friend refers to it as that or The Fairy God Wolf. They both suck, but its entertaining to hear them. LOL) Yes, yes, I am going now.

Humpday Hottie~

4:30 am · category: Inspire, Just for Fun, Men, Midweek Hottie

Ok, yes I am hopping on the hot men bandwagon. I tried to resist… but the pull was too great. (Blame it on Sophia Parkwood and her Monday Motivation posts) So… to kick off my renewed interest in being a frequent blogger, I figured Wednesdays needed another reason to be loved. ;)

We will go with my love all things (nearly all) Scottish and celebrate Humpday Hottie kickoff with none other than the scrumptious Gerard Butler. Drool if you must ladies, but remember that computers are delicate things and licking the screen is only a momentary reprieve from reality.

I Love the 80′s~

10:42 pm · category: Just for Fun

Not really. LOL though I do confess to falling victim to some of the 80′s fashion trends. Let’s think back to that decade and see what we all remember…..

Shall we start with big hair? Really, the higher the better. Teased out and lacquered with Aqua Net or White Rain, come on we are talking art form here people!

We have Jane Fonda and Olivia Newton-John for the leg warmer trend. Let’s get physical…physical! Then we had the fingerless gloves, Member’s Only jackets, stirrup pants, parachute pants, jelly shoes, swatch watches, acid wash jeans… I could go on, but I won’t.

Oh wait! Z Cavaricci pants … enough said. And last but not least, I think I  rocked a pair of these towards the end of the 80′s.

Mine were red and black and low top, if I remember correctly. Thank god I was just entering my teens when the nineties rolled around. Please share some of your favorite 80′s moments. I know a friend/reader who says she has a love for 80′s music…Flock of Seagulls anyone?

Thank you to the gentleman at work who sported the Member’s Only jacket with a Three’s Company Tee for making me laugh and inspiring this post.

Who’s Your Cowboy?

The winner of the autographed copy of the Wild Ride Anthology is….. ahem, can I have a drum roll please?

Shelley Munro!

Yee Haw! Okay, we only have a small request here. You have to let me know if you found it just as difficult to choose your favorite cowboy among the mix. I am quite partial to Levi since I did dream about him for so long, but my partners in crime in this novella wrote some equally hot and drool worthy cowboys, so I will take no offense. :)

Anyone else who has read ALL three stories present in the Wild Ride Anthology, sound off for me on your favorite cowboy if you will. Just because of curiosity sake and the very deep seeded desire to dish on all that hawtness!

Contest ~ Wild Ride!

Wild Ride features three incredible stories with unbelievable characters. Seriously, take a look at the cover blurbs.

Buckling Down by Moira Keith~ Levi is in Vegas with one simple goal: cement his place in rodeo history. Then Lady Luck throws a wild card. Time hasn’t dulled his attraction to Sydney, but she’ll always be forbidden fruit. Sydney’s ready to give up on love…until Levi walks into her bar. She may think love’s not in the cards for her, but that doesn’t mean a girl can’t flirt…

Strong, Silent Type by Lorelei James~ Quinn thought he’d just bide time until Libby called a halt to this “trial separation”. He never believed it would drag on for a coon’s age. Libby knows he’s not prone to showing his feelings, but it looks like he’d rather hold onto his pride than to her. One weekend of uninterrupted sexual decadence with him is tempting…but will it solve anything?

The Real Deal by Niki Green~ When Willa looks out into the crowd during her burlesque act and sees a familiar face staring back, her past comes crashing down around her. Chase has some hard questions for the former love of his life, and he wants answers—even if he has to throw her over his shoulder and drag her back home…

They vary in heat, but they all deliver an awesome love story. (This is not entirely based on my biased opinion, but on feedback from readers. ;) ) Okay, here we go. This is for a print copy of Wild Ride, featuring my novella Buckling Down and signed by yours truly.

How do you enter? Simple. Become a fan on Facebook, get an entry. If you are already a fan let me know and your entry will still be given. Do you twitter? Follow me there and that is another entry. Tell me what you love in a good romance story and you get another entry.

Come back here and either comment here with your twitter/facebook id’s or feel free to drop me an email at moria (at) moirakeith(dot)com and I will get your entries in. Please be sure to input your email address in the space provided when commenting, otherwise I will have no way to contact you if you won. I will draw a winner on Sunday, March 21st. Good Luck!

A Bit Behind

12:38 am · category: Random Rambling

Over the past two years I have had a lot of things happen in my life. I finished and subbed my first story, had it published, struggled to learn the world of online self promotion (and still learning), had some major life altering events happen which has eaten up a lot of my time, and most recently, had Buckling Down released in its print format two weeks ago.

While you have listened to me whine, give excuses and delay my blog postings…. I will not do this anymore. Tomorrow is the first day where I will revel in my writing and all that it has done for me. To celebrate, I will announce a contest to give away print copy of the Wild Ride Anthology where my novella, Buckling Down, debuts in print, signed by yours truly. (You’ll want to hang on to it…. I’m gonna be famous someday. My mommy said so. ;) )

Check back with me.
