I Love the 80′s~

Not really. LOL though I do confess to falling victim to some of the 80′s fashion trends. Let’s think back to that decade and see what we all remember…..

Shall we start with big hair? Really, the higher the better. Teased out and lacquered with Aqua Net or White Rain, come on we are talking art form here people!

We have Jane Fonda and Olivia Newton-John for the leg warmer trend. Let’s get physical…physical! Then we had the fingerless gloves, Member’s Only jackets, stirrup pants, parachute pants, jelly shoes, swatch watches, acid wash jeans… I could go on, but I won’t.

Oh wait! Z Cavaricci pants … enough said. And last but not least, I think I  rocked a pair of these towards the end of the 80′s.

Mine were red and black and low top, if I remember correctly. Thank god I was just entering my teens when the nineties rolled around. Please share some of your favorite 80′s moments. I know a friend/reader who says she has a love for 80′s music…Flock of Seagulls anyone?

  2. Oh, man, I’m guilty of loving all of the, erm, fashion statements you listed (minus the swatches…don’t even remember those). Jelly shoes, oh, yeah, and usually pink. ;) Loved stirrup pants, too, but mostly I loved to tight-roll my jeans. Maybe that was early 90s though… It’s all a blur really. LOL

  3. Oh yes… tons of great 80′s flicks! Let’s not forget the movie that made me fall in love with Corey Haim ( :( ) and started my love affair with vampires….The Lost Boys!!!
