Monday Kickoff!

So here we are…Monday. Ugh. Is there anything worse than a Monday? Sunday night perhaps when you are lying in bed, thinking about how you wish it was Saturday night so you had one more day of the weekend.

Well lets see if we can’t get this week off to a good start shall we? I am celebrating the re-launch of my website. Isn’t it lovely? I think what better way to start a celebration than to give away a prize right? (Not to mention the fact that it would make Monday a cheery happy day too.) So today I will do a drawing for a $10 gift certificate to either Barnes and Noble or Amazon. Winners choice! All you have to do to win? Comment here on the blog to be entered into the drawing! Yee Haw! Okay, we only have a small request here. You have to let me know if you found it just as difficult to choose your favorite cowboy among the mix. I am quite partial to Levi since I did dream about him for so long, but my partners in crime in this novella wrote some equally hot and drool worthy cowboys, so I will take no offense.

Anyone else who has read ALL three stories present in the Wild Ride Anthology, sound off for me on your favorite cowboy if you will. Just because of curiosity sake and the very deep seeded desire to dish on all that hawtness!

I would be freaking dangerous. Maybe genius level evil genius. Why are you shaking your head? I could so pull off EVIL on a diabolical level. No? Really? You don’t think so huh?

Okay, you’re right. Maybe not because honestly, I am way too nice for that. Truth though? I could be dangerous on a less sinister level. I mean imagine if I could actually remember when I had interviews scheduled to post, blogged more regularly, wrote when I had a free moment instead of hanging out on Facebook… see where I am going with this?

Go Forth and…Vote?

Yes, this is what I am asking of you. There is a fabulous contest put on by Stella Cameron every year called the Scarlett Boa. This year, the contest is for the best paranormal opening scene. My darling mother told me about this contest and after lots of discussion with some of my very PUSHY friends, I entered. So what I need from you is simple- go read the entries and vote for your favorite (Scene 15). No worries if you don’t vote for me. I think it is every writer for him or her self. (Although, you know what? If you don’t vote for me, the next time you see me, I may be huddled in the corner under the counter, rocking back and forth muttering nonsense about how I was one vote away or some such shit. So if you can live with that guilt, then go ahead and pass right over Scene 15.)

Really, I want you to read the entries and vote for your favorites. There are some REALLY good ones. I am up against some tough competition, including some of my fellow Samhain authors. First round voting closes on the 15th so hurry! Go forth and vote! It is easy to do. Simply click on the photo below to be taken to the page with all the fabulous entries. Read them. Take notes. A Few Updates~

Well, guess what I discovered while perusing Amazon.com the other day? Print Anthology cover art. I tell you what, Scott Carpenter does awesome work! Um do I love the cover? Surely you jest. I mean really what kind of a question is that. Just look at it. Is it love? Oh that might be a slight understatement.

Now this little beauty is available for pre-order now, however it will not be released until March 1,2010. I know talk about your early teasers for those of you dying to have a print copy, but I could not sit on this until then. Can you imagine?

Okay, now for the second update, I am going to be guest blogging over at Phoebe Jordan’s site, Talk About My Favorite Authors, tomorrow. Be sure to check it out.

Third and final update for the day…. Chosen is making progress. It is slow going, but I am beginning to feel my way around the story again and it feels good. Should breech the 50k mark at any moment now, as long as things go smoothly and the muse continues to bless me. Hopefully I will continue to do the story justice as I would really hate to disappoint the handful of people who have been harassing me for the finished copy of this little gem. (You know who you are and your patience is greatly appreciated.)
