Great song by A Rocket to the Moon. Happy Monday everyone. Have a great week.
I’ve had a contemporary western story that I’d been working on for the better part of a year. It was a give and take book on so many levels. Last night I had the pleasure of typing ‘The End’ and feeling quite pleased with the story I wrote. Now comes the fun part. The polishing and subbing process. Trust me, I will keep you posted of what happens to Wallace’s story and where he ends up. In the meantime, enjoy one of the songs that provided a little inspiration to this tale. Glass by Thompson Square. There is a scene in the book where Cheyenne is listening to this very song and I love the lyrics. And stay tuned because Wallace has three other siblings with stories that need to be told. Hope you enjoy!
Imagine Dragons has a couple songs that my little zombies love to hear. Radioactive of course tops the list, but this is another that they enjoy and ask me to play quite frequently. As I am getting ready to kick off the month of April with a little Camp NaNoWriMo, I needed a little push and a smile before I bury myself in words. So for the little zombies in my life….and for all those who may need a Monday pick-me-up. Let’s all be On Top of the World together!
Today, I’m sending out a very simple message…Carry On. That is my mantra for the year thanks to the band Fun. From the first time I heard the chorus, it was stuck in my head. Have a listen.
More importantly, have a great Monday, a great week, and a great month! Carry On! I know I will as I continue to push through my first draft of Wallace McGregor’s story, and get ready to knock out a few more manuscripts that are sitting on my desktop.
Music inspires so many of us. The rhythm and lyrics are often things we can relate to at different points in our lives. Sometimes its just a line, other times it is a verse or the entire song. This song by The Airborne Toxic Event did just that for me when I heard it for the first time this morning and I felt compelled to share it. Hope you all enjoy!
How did that happen? Where did the week go? And more importantly…who ate my homework?! Kidding. Seriously though this week has flown by. Been reading about Egyptian and Mesopotamian Creation stories for class. That has been interesting. Been writing a LOT (except for last night when I took the night off for homework). Following the Rangers games with the lil zombies and enjoying their commentary on the game. And overall just plain busy as usual. So what am I doing here right? I needed a music break…so here’s a little fun to kick off the downhill slide into the weekend.
Have a great Thirsty Thursday peeps!

Yes one does exist. I know – you had no idea right? Me neither. A friend of mine was helping me brainstorm and he says, what about a zombie love story? To which I reply, there is nothing sexy or romantic about body parts falling off at inopportune moments. Plus, I could’ve sworn I’d heard of a zombie love story. So I did what anyone would do. I googled it. To my amazement, quite a few things came up, but the one thing that I didn’t expect were the zombie song videos that popped for youtube. Being the curious being I am, of course I clicked on the link which led me to videos of a zombified Taylor Swift wannabe which was kind of funny and this little video which gave me plenty o laughs….
Yep, there you go. Zombie video of the week. And yes, I did actually think of something to write. Just one more thing of many to throw on my writing to do list. Happy Thursday everyone!
Today’s musical post is brought to you courtesy of the LoCash Cowboys and Molly McLain. She heard this on the radio on Sunday and immediately told me about it and how it made her think of my current work in progress. In her words, “…it started playing and immediately Justin and Cheyenne popped in my head.” God love her because it works. Hope it inspires you.
